Somewhere in that grid of letters, one of them doesn’t belong.
You have 10 seconds. Ready?
The grid is full of the letter Q — row after row of them. But one single letter is different, hiding in plain sight, and most people stare straight at the grid without seeing it.
The odd letter is O. It sits in row 3, 4th from the left.
Why is it so hard? Because your brain doesn’t actually read every letter. It scans the pattern, decides “these are all Q’s,” and stops looking carefully. The O is shaped just differently enough to be invisible at a glance — and just similar enough that your eyes slide right past it.
Vision scientists call this “inattentional blindness”: once the brain categorizes what it’s seeing, it stops checking the details.
Did you find it in under 10 seconds? Fewer than half of people do on the first try. If you did — your eyes are sharper than most.
Send this to someone who claims they notice everything. Then time them.
